Turkey Sinks Airbus to Create Reef

A municipality in western Turkey sunk a 47-ton, $93,000 Airbus A300 Saturday in the Aegean Sea off the shore of Kusadasi. Authorities hope the sunken jet will become artificial reef, boosting underwater diving and reviving tourism in the area. (June 6)
