Στρατιωτικές πηγές επιβεβαίωσαν ότι τα στοιχεία της οργάνωσης "Daash" Ba'shiqah επιτέθηκαν σε καταυλισμό στο βόρειο Ιράκ, όπου σταθμεύουν τα τουρκικά στρατεύματα, προσθέτοντας ότι οι τουρκικές δυνάμεις ανταποκρίθηκαν στην επίθεση.
Οι στρατιωτικές πηγές Τρίτη 22 Μάρτη / Μαρτίου ότι η τουρκική πλευρά ήταν σε θέση να τραυματισμό των στόχων της οργάνωσης βρίσκεται βόρεια του στρατοπέδου, μετά την επίθεση.

New TVR Plant in South Wales as TVR’s new Cosworth V8-powered car gets closer

TVR is back in business with a new car using Gordon Murray’s iStream manufacturing and Cosworth V8, and it will be built in South Wales.
It’s nearly three years since Les Edgar snapped up TVR from Russian owner Nikolai Smolensky, and it finally looks like real progress is being made with the announcement of a new TVR Production Facility to be located in the Ebbw Vale Enterprise Zone in South Wales.
The announcement was made this morning by Carwyn Jones, the First Minister of Wales, although precise details haven’t been released.
But it looks like the new TVR Plant will be on the doorstep of the new Circuit of Wales – a perfect playground for sorting the new TVRs – either in a new facility at the circuit’s technology park or at an existing site close by.
The announcement of the new facility makes real the promise of new cars from TVR, with a new manufacturing process developed by Gordon Murray (the man responsible for the McLaren F1, who has also designed the car and chassis) set to make production highly efficient, and a new Cosworth V8 promising some serious horsepower.
Despite not even having a factory to build their cars until today, TVR has managed to secure more than 350 deposits from TVR fans for the new car, which means more than the first year’s production is already spoken for.
No doubt, now they have somewhere to build it, we’ll start to get more details on the first all-new TVR in a decade.

Σχεδόν 50 χρόνια από τότε ο άνθρωπος περπάτησε για πρώτη φορά στην σεληνιακή επιφάνεια, ο επικεφαλής της Ευρωπαϊκής Υπηρεσίας Διαστήματος εξηγεί το όραμά του για το που ζουν και εργάζονται στη Σελήνη. Johann-Dietrich Woerner πιστεύει ότι το επόμενο γιγάντιο άλμα για την ανθρωπότητα θα μπορούσε να είναι μια διεθνής συνεργασία που δραστηριοποιούνται στο διάστημα έθνη, με τη μορφή ενός χωριού Σελήνης. Το χωριό αυτό θα είναι μια μόνιμη σεληνιακή βάση για την επιστήμη, τις επιχειρήσεις, τον τουρισμό ή ακόμα και εξόρυξης. Woerner εξηγεί πώς χρησιμοποιούν τη δική τους φυσικούς πόρους της Σελήνης θα μπορούσε να βοηθήσει στην οικοδόμηση και διατήρηση μιας βάσης από 3D εκτύπωση ένα στοιχείο δομή ή κτίριο. Ρομποτικό ρόβερ θα μπορούσε να διογκώσει προστατευτική θόλους για τους αστροναύτες. Συζητά επίσης τους πιθανούς κινδύνους της ζωής στη Σελήνη, καθώς και τις πιθανές τοποθεσίες της σεληνιακής βάσης και τα πλεονεκτήματα ενός νέου έργου παγκόσμιο χώρο.

Huge golden dome rises over Paris skyline to crown Russian cathedral (VIDEO)

A 12 meter (39 foot) high golden dome has been hoisted atop a new Russian Orthodox cathedral in France, a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower. The huge dome is the first of five to top the church slated for completion later in the year.
The dome that weighs as much as nine tons (18,000 pounds) now sits at a height of 37 meters (121 feet), atop the under-construction Saint Trinity church on Branly Embankment. After an Orthodox priest blessed it with holy water, the dome was lifted and placed atop the cathedral with the help of a crane, followed by a huge Orthodox cross on Saturday.

The religious complex, which will also house Russian Spiritual and Cultural Center in the French capital, "is a powerful confirmation of the unique and historic relations between both countries," the secretary of estate in charge of relations with parliament, Jean-Marie Le Guen said, adding that it will be inaugurated by Russian President Vladimir Putin later this year.
The structure is being built on the site of the former headquarters of France's weather forecasting service, which occupied an area of 8,400 square meters (two acres), the size of a concert hall. According to Le Figaro, France sold the site in the prestigious seventh arrondissement, to Russia for €70 million ($79 mn).
The cathedral will have five domes in total, covered with golden leaves. The compound will also include an administration building for the eparchy, a Russian-French school for 150 students, lecture halls, a dormitory and a library.

Mineral crystals grow under a variety of conditions. Slow cooling of magma (melted rock) deep within the Earth generally leads to a rock such as granite with visible crystals of feldspar, quartz, mica, amphibole and other minerals. Water in the magma can even facilitate pegmatite formation. Pegmatite is an igneous rock composed of mineral crystals generally with a diameter of several centimeters which, on rare occasions, can be meters.
The individual crystals or crystal groups that people generally collect or purchase have more often grown in openings through which superheated water circulates. Water is a remarkable solvent. Most minerals are water soluble, even if only in minute concentrations. Thus water can slowly transport and deposit layer upon layer of molecules to build mineral crystals of impressive size. In fact, the geometric forms of crystals are among the most readily observed evidence that matter is composed of discrete molecules and atoms.
This giant crystal of quartz was displayed at the 2008 Tucson, Arizona, Rock and Mineral Show, an annual event in early February. In addition to the convention center displays, vendors from all over the world show and sell geological specimens both wholesale and retail at several dozen satellite shows throughout the city.

As it swooped past the south pole of Saturn's moon Enceladus on July 14, 2005, Cassini acquired high resolution views of this puzzling ice world. From afar, Enceladus exhibits a bizarre mixture of softened craters and complex, fractured terrains.

This large mosaic of 21 narrow-angle camera images have been arranged to provide a full-disk view of the anti-Saturn hemisphere on Enceladus. This mosaic is a false-color view that includes images taken at wavelengths from the ultraviolet to the infrared portion of the spectrum, and is similar to another, lower resolution false-color view obtained during the flyby. In false-color, many long fractures on Enceladus exhibit a pronounced difference in color (represented here in blue) from the surrounding terrain.

A leading explanation for the difference in color is that the walls of the fractures expose outcrops of coarse-grained ice that are free of the powdery surface materials that mantle flat-lying surfaces.

The original images in the false-color mosaic range in resolution from 350 to 67 meters (1,148 to 220 feet) per pixel and were taken at distances ranging from 61,300 to 11,100 kilometers (38,090 to 6,897 miles) from Enceladus. The mosaic is also part of a movie sequence of images from this flyby.
