Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on the sidelines of first European Games in Baku, Saturday, to discuss bilateral relations between both nations.
Both leaders took part in the opening ceremony of the games on Friday, alongside Azeri President Ilham Aliyev and several other heads of state, and wished success to all the participants involved in the multi-sport competition.
The first European Games are running for 17 days, from June 12 to June 28, with over 6,000 athletes from 50 different countries participating in the competition.
