Istanbul: Turkish nationalists attacked American sailors
For isolated incident committed by "some local thugs" spoke Pentagon spokesman Steve Warren said the offensive team Turkish nationalists against three American sailors on a busy street in Istanbul.
"We are in close cooperation with the Turkish authorities to investigate what happened," said Pentagon spokesman condemned the attack. "We enjoy a strong relationship with our NATO ally. We do not see this incident as something that will upset this strong relationship, "added Warren.
The three American sailors equipped with missile systems destroyer USS Ross returned to the ship without being injured. After the incident revoked all licenses and the destroyer is expected to sail from Istanbul on Thursday.
Turkey is one of the main allies of the United States of America in the Middle East and a member of the NATO military alliance, but within the country and in some parts of society, anti-American sentiment is strong, especially after the 2003 US invasion Iraq.
A Pew Institute poll published in late October showed that only 19% of Turkish citizens has a positive attitude towards the US.

Ειμαστε υποχρεωμενοι να υποδεχθουμε τους φιλους μας τους αμερικανους και να τους κανουμε και ΣΥΝΕΤΑΙΡΟΥΣ σε τυχον κοιτασματα του πρινου τα οποια θα ανοιχθουν στο μελλον,δινοντας ισως και καποια βαση στο βορα σε καποιο νησι ισως αγ. ευστρατιο,ιδιαιτερα τωρα με αυτα που συμβαινουν στην μεση ανατολη,για να μπορεσουμε να επικαταστησουμε την κυριαρχια μας σαν εθνος εναντι των τουρκων,και να μειωσουμε τις δαπανες μας στους εξοπλισμους και να ανοιξη η οικονομια μας.
